Fell and Mountain Running Club

This is a long and severe fell race over varied terrain in the winter. Please only enter if you are capable of self sufficiency in these conditions and capable of navigating your way around the course. There are also strict cuts offs at 1hr15 at CP2 and 3hrs50 at CP5.

Kit and Experience Requirements

Experience of category AL fell race required.

Waterproof whole body cover (with taped seams and integrated attached hood) + hat + gloves + map of the course area + compass + whistle + fell-running shoes. Depending on the weather, an extra warm body layer, fleece or lightweight down jacket may be required.

Route maps and pins will be provided.

No dogs.

The use of music/sound equipment that restricts hearing is prohibited.

Course

Category AL. ER (experience required) / NS (navigational skills required) / LK (local knowledge advantageous).

37km & 1900m ascent, or 22 miles & 6234ft ascent. Note there will be time outs at two checkpoints: 1hr15 at CP2 and 3hrs50 at CP5.
